With heartful intention…

We consciously craft our products with love for you and our earth mother in mind.

About Us…

Selkie Sisters Apothecary is located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC in the Unceded Lands & Territories of the K’ómoks First Nations. They are guided by the sun, moon and stars, but have a strong affinity for the pull of the sea.

Allie is a born and raised Van Isle child and Nicole was raised as a tide loving soul in Tsawassen, BC. Their friendship was forged through Kismet in the Valley and they bonded over their passions for health and the healing power of nature.

These beautiful souls support their families and friends with healing balms, teas and tinctures and are now answering the calling to share their knowledge and passion with the collective.

Picked with care

Selkie Sisters Apothecary offers organic body/self care and wellness products with an emphasis on local, ethical and sustainable ingredients.

What goes on your skin goes in to your body, which is why we focus on pure, organic ingredients with no fillers, binders, preservatives or additives.

We are focused on finding ways to reduce our environmental impact that spans from our packaging and shipping to ethical wildcrafting standards and local fair trade sourcing.

Our desire is to create products that are healthy for our bodies and our earth mother.

Our Mission…

Providing you with Body & wellness products that not only support your health, but our Earth Mother as well.

  • Our Beeswax comes from a local Honey Farm in Black Creek and our essential oils when available from Campbell River and when scents are unavailable we source from a lovely shop in Calgary.

The Shea Butter and Coconut Oil comes from a company in Duncan that sources it Ethically from Ghana.

Our Vancouver Island Sea Salt comes from, you guessed it beautiful VanIsle.

We will also be harvesting herbs from our gardens this year to craft in to our products.

  • We purchase our essential oils from companies that have only organic oils that are sourced through ethical & sustainable methods.

Our Shea Butter and Coconut Oil are both imported from Ghana through a Vancouver Island Company using Fair Trade & Wages. The Shea butter is hand crafted by women only through age old techniques passed down through generations and the coconut oil is hand grown and harvested by small holder farms.

  • Our values impact every element of our brand. From choosing green ingredients that can be found locally to sustainable packaging made of recycled paper and our Recycle/Reuse program encouraging customers to return their glass jars for a discount.

We are also working on growing the herbs that we need to lessen the negative impact the herbal industry is having through unethical wildcrafting.

We also want to help our local pollinators any way we can.

What people are saying…

I am a mom of 4. 3 of my 4 kiddos and I have eczema as well as super sensitive skin. Everything I bought would burn upon application or do nothing. I have major inflammation from eczema on my eye lids and within no time it took the itch and burn away. It’s been amazing for my littles as well. In my house, its become a staple like Frank’s Red hot, we put that salve on everything! Including my pup who has a metal allergy! All organic all natural and safe! Highly recommend

The seaweed face cleansing balm is like nothing I’ve used before. It’s the perfect cleanser for my combination skin and has the perfect balance between gently cleansing my skin, removing my make up, while hydrating my face. I will never be able to use another cleanser again. Smells amazing too!

I’ve been loving the addition of the revive face mist into my skin care regime! It feels so good to mist after a hot shower, or bath, and I absolutely LOVE the rose water scent. You can tell there’s been a ton of love added into this one!

I’ll be 50 this year and I’ve suffered neck pain and arthritis, due to a major car accident when I was 17. I’ve spent so much money on treatments and products in my lifetime, trying to get relief. I also suffer from insomnia, as sometimes the pain makes it hard to relax and fall into a deep sleep. I heard about Selkie Sisters CBD balm and decided to give it a try. I rubbed it into my neck before bed the first time I tried it and the scent is delicious, I love the wintergreen smell with the lavender. After the first application, I slept through the night and got 9 hours of sleep. The CBD Balm relaxed me enough to get into a deep sleep and yet I didn’t feel groggy in the morning. I woke up and my neck muscles were much more relaxed and soft. I find this product extremely effective in reducing pain and lifting ones spirits from the aromatherapy. I love it!! Thank you Selkie Sisters.
